Okta Certification Hands-On Items

Part II of this exam includes performance-based, hands-on use cases. You will be asked to complete tasks using Okta-provided orgs, usernames, and passwords, allowing you to demonstrate your skills in a way that reflects how developers interact with identity platforms in real-world scenarios.

A use case begins with some general instructions that apply to all the tasks in that use case. The instructions for a use case are presented on a dedicated page labeled "Instructions".

After the instructions are the individual tasks, each on its own dedicated page and labeled accordingly.Each task must be completed in the order presented. Tasks build on each other, so it is important to complete Task 1 in order to move on to Task 2 and so forth.

You can go back to previous tasks and make changes as necessary. However, it is important to note how changes made to a preceding task affect other tasks within the use case.

Scoring of a performance-based use case

Use cases are graded upon the submission of Part II of the exam or immediately at the end of the time clock allotted for Part II.

Submitting the Exam

At the bottom of the page is a blue button labeled "Submit Exam". After you have completed all of the use cases and you are ready to submit your exam, click the Submit Exam button. When you do, you will be presented with a confirmation popup. Clicking the YES, SUBMIT NOW button will end your exam and submit it for grading.
